Remember this list is highly subjective to the opinions of the author (me!). Feel free to offer your thoughts as well. Integral Camera Pack Film Best Choice? Ease […]
chairity(1/31/2010)-chairity Originally uploaded by Parahanga Here’s one my favourite shots – of which I have 3 versions, digital, 35mm slide, 669 print. I was asked this on flickr: What does “Digital to analogue conversion” mean?! My response: Glad you asked, the shot was originally taken on a digital camera (Canon 10D). About I month ago […]
“Dreamscape” Polaprinter Digital to Analogue(1/27/2010)-Here’s another shot converted from digital to analogue. The streaks on the top aren’t clouds, but rather expired artifacts from the old old 669 film. The original was transferred to 35mm slide film then tranferred to Polaroid film via a Polaprinter.
“Danger Wharf” Polaprinter – Digital to Analogue(1/27/2010)-This was originally a digital photo I took but I had shifted it to a 35mm colour positive slide by Gammatech. The did superb job on converting my digital film to 35mm slides. I really wanted to see how the pictures translated to be transferred to very very expired (7 year old) polaroid 669 film. […]
Developing 35mm Film Exposed to saltwater (yes it is possible!)(1/23/2010)-End of the BeginningOriginally uploaded by Parahanga 2 weeks ago, I was using my lovely Konica Mermaid camera to shoot action figures underwater. Unfortunately, I had somehow dislodged the the waterproof backing while I was underwater, flooding the camera. The camera electronics died and even the film was exposed to salt water. I thought surely […]
Open Air Toilet(1/23/2010)-Bring you own gasmask… taken on AV-1 with self developed fujia superia film.
Develop Colour Film in New Zealand(1/21/2010)-If you want to develop your film here in New Zealand, its a bit tricky to get the materials. You can special order the colour chemicals from Camera stores, but they charge a premium to do an order for you. Initially, I thought I could order colour development kits from the USA, as heaps and […]

My Shot of the Day, and reflections on Polaroidal Year(12/18/2009)-In October 2008 I bought my first Polaroid camera, previously my passion for photography had waned quite a bit. I shot mainly digital, while it was fun and easy… there was just something missing. Maybe digital photography is a bit too clinical, I don’t really know. I still have 4 gigabytes on digital photos on […]
Redhenge 99(12/6/2009)-I recently bought this wicked Polaprinter – you can use 35mm slides and project them on polaroid/fuji packfilms. I had some packfilm, 669 (very expired) and fp 100c, so I decided to have a go. My first attempt was to print my digital pics on transparencies using my epson printer – it was complete crap. […]
The Hanged Man(11/28/2009)-I had this idea to do a tarot card of the hanged man with a polaroid shot – this is the result with my newish ee55 camera:
Odin(11/28/2009)-Odin hung himself for 9 days on the world tree to gain secret knowledge – don’t know if this little action figure got any wiser though! Shot at Tawharanui with an EE55 and 125i film.
Across the Divide(11/28/2009)-I tested out my EE55 Camera today, absolutely loved it. Its a fixed body camera, unlike my EE100 Special – no light leaks. It performed wonderfully today. Here is the first shot I took, at Tawharanui Park near Matakana:
Polaroid 600 Onestep Review.(11/1/2009)-This camera has heaps of reviews – so I won’t go into to much detail about, and just talk about a hack that I use. If you are new to polaroid, want to know more about what kind camera to choose – go visit this post on the mocking-bird blog. Or here. Or just about […]
EE100 Special Polaroid Camera Review(11/1/2009)-Ah the EE100 Special, yes it indeed is special. Like most polaroid cameras available on online auctions, owners have long abandoned these jewels in favour of snappy little digital cameras. I was able to pic this one up on the cheap. The first thing you will on the EE100 Special has very sketchy details.? Hey […]
