Field Notes: Saguaro Armadillo (dasypus carnegiea). From a bird’s eye view, the Saguaro Armadillo looks just like a bald human head. This is no mistake by nature! Bald heads attract bird droppings, and our armadillo takes full advantage of this. The droppings on the back shell is bait for attracting its favourite insect food!
